International Children’s day 2023

On June first, 2023, on the occasion of  International Children’s day, NTHK organized a special ceremony at the Royal Ankawa hotel. The ceremony was attended by 90 children from the majority of the community, 35 of whom were from the orphanage affiliated to the Ministry of Labour and social affairs in Erbil. The rest were children of our Christian Brothers and othe components. Also some of them were displaced from other regions of Iraq and Syria. On this occasion, the Consul General of the Netherlands in the Kurdistan Region, Mr. Jaco Berends, and the international musician Hazar Hussein Zahawi attended, as well as all religious and cultural communities affiliated with the Ministry of Labour and social affairs. Along with well-known dignitaries from the Arab nationalities of Jabouri and Shammer and other figures from Journalists, members of Parliament and other well-known personalities in Erbil. The goal of NTHK on this special day is to hold a party for these children, especially children from the orphanage in Erbil, so that they do not feel lonely .
